Two metals. Piercing Safe.
Solid 14k Gold & Impant Grade Titanium
Every piece we sell is either implant-grade titanium or solid 14k gold — yellow or white. No platings, no fillers, no nickel. Here's exactly what that means, and who we trust to back it up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Safety & Allergies
I have sensitive skin or metal allergies, what metal should I get?
Titanium is the most biocompatible metal that we carry – the same used in orthopedic implants – and is what we use for all of our backings that will be actually in your piercing canal. Our 14k gold is also nickel free and is generally well tolerated by those with sensitive skin or allergies.
What is the difference between titanium and surgical steel?
"Surgical steel" isn't a regulated term and it can still contain nickel and cause reactions to those with nickel sensitivities. Implant grade titanium (ASTM F-136) is an actual medical manufacturing standard.
Choosing the right piece
Should I get titanium or gold?
With any piercing that you get from our shop, you will be getting an implant grade titanium backing, that is what will be in your actual piercing canal. When it comes to the material of the top of the piercing, what you will actually be seeing, it is more up to personal preference and budget.
What is the difference between yellow and white gold?
Both the yellow gold and white gold pieces from our shop are 14k solid gold, the difference is the alloy mix. Yellow gold keeps golds natural warm tone, whereas white gold is alloyed with metals such as palladium to give it a cooler, silvery finish. Ours is nickel-free either way, so the choice is purely about which color you prefer.
